I was born in Brevard, North Carolina, and I currently serve as the CEO and principal consultant of J Conley Consulting. I am a nationally sought-after corporate trainer, motivational speaker, and transformational life coach. As an advocate at heart, I spent six years as the Associate State Director for AARP in North Florida.
In that role, I acted as a liaison to the community and managed a team of over 50 volunteers. Upholding AARP’s mission and vision, I completed my assignment and retired in August 2022. I also worked as a program manager for Orion’s Mind, a supplemental afterschool program designed to help youth in underserved communities in Chicago improve their core skills. In that position, I recruited, trained, and managed teachers in two inner-city schools. For 19 years, I served as the Vice President of Multicultural Initiatives for the Midwest division of an international ministry organization dedicated to helping youth navigate adolescence while sharing the message of Christ.
In addition to being a certified life coach, I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Berea College, and I am currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Leadership at Fuller Theological Seminary. I have received extensive leadership development training through Leadership Jax. I was ordained in 2014 at Rock of Our Salvation Church in Chicago, Illinois, and I have held various leadership positions in local churches in every community I’ve been a part of. Currently, I serve at Excel Church in Jacksonville, Florida, where Derrick and Zelphia Raines are my pastors.
As a parent, I am proud of my two adult children, Cameron Conley and Tonicia Gayle, and I cherish my role as a grandmother to Luke Gayle, who is the light of my life. I love nature, enjoy traveling, and meeting new people. My life’s mission is to help individuals discover their unique qualities and leverage them to live the lives they desire.
